- Making Light of the Mess -

Sunset on Lake Winnipesaukee

The woman behind the snark...

I move through life with one guiding belief: embrace the glorious mess that life is, and learn to laugh at it along the way. Life doesn't always follow the plan, and mine has certainly taken a few turns. Along the way, I've learned to find inspiration in the imperfect, the honest, and the completely human. I'm inspired by the little things: the observations we all have but don't always say out loud, the moments that make us laugh at ourselves, and the everyday chaos that somehow becomes a good story later.

Living in New Hampshire's Lakes Region is also part of that inspiration. The lake is where I live, where I play, and where I find a little breathing room between the glorious chaos of everyday life. But my inspiration doesn't stop at the shoreline. I'm drawn to the Seacoast as well, where salt air, ocean views, and time spent exploring new places often find their way into my work. Whether it's the lake, the ocean, or the little details of everyday life, I'm always finding something that sparks an idea.

Through my work, I bring together humor, personality, and a healthy appreciation for life's imperfections. I love making people stop for a moment and laugh, creating pieces that make a statement, and designing custom creations that celebrate a place or a meaningful moment. From snarky gifts and handmade paper goods to custom signs celebrating a favorite lake, a beloved coastal town, a new home, or a special place, I love making things that mean something to the people who bring them home. Some make you laugh. Some make you feel something. And some simply put into words what you've been thinking all along.

I am a one woman show here with one very full workbench and whole lot of creativity.

Every cut, every printed page, every painted sign: all of them are personally created and produced by me. When you shop small here, you're literally supporting the hands behind the work.

Now, for the slightly less exciting part...

I have nearly three decades of experience in the design and print industry, along with a degree in Fine Art and Graphic Design/Letterform. In 2013, I started my independent business to put my family first while continuing to pursue my passion for art and creativity.

Today, I create and sell custom artwork and decorative signs, along with handmade journals, greeting cards, notepads, and stickers through Chaotically Curated Paper Co., a division of Graphic Designs by HDominick. I also take on freelance design projects along the way, because apparently, I like to keep things interesting.

I've called Alton home for more than 25 years, sharing life with my husband, Toby, our now-adult daughter, and our teenage son. When I'm not creating something, you'll likely find me brainstorming ideas with my daughter, snapping photos with my son, chasing sunsets on Lake Winnipesaukee, boating with family, or kayaking our gorgeous local waterways.

Life is messy, creativity is never in short supply, and there's usually a new idea taking shape around here. I look forward to helping you visually tell your story, too!
